Cleanin’ Daze is our chance to serve the rest of the church through cleaning the worship facilities. After cleaning we order some pizza, hang out, and will either stay and watch a movie in the teen room or go to the movie theaters. Cleanin’ Daze occurs every three months and though it normally occurs on a Friday, it does not have a set occurrence schedule so each event will be announced about a month in advance. Cleanin’ Daze is for all students 7th-12th grade; meets in the MCC Worship Center Foyer. Our next time to clean is July 1st at 6PM.
MOVE is a week-long summer conference put on by CIY. Students will spend a week on a college campus enjoying times of great worship, deep teaching, and just being able to hang out and enjoy themselves. More information about the conference can be found at http://www.ciy.com/move. We will be attending MOVE at Lee University in Cleveland, TN. Save the dates! Click here!
Believe is a weekend Jr. High retreat hosted by CIY. It’s a great spiritual weekend that will challenge Jr. High students in ways they probably haven’t yet. They’ll experience great worship, teaching, and maybe most importantly, they’ll be challenged to take their faith deeper. Believe generally occurs in February.
During the summer we encourage students to attend weeks of summer camp at Round Lake Christian Assembly. Camp is a great way to meet new people, have fun, and it’s a great opportunity for students to get away from the distractions of everyday life and really focus on getting closer to God. More information about Round Lake can be found at www.roundlake.org.
The Revolve Tour is a special weekend event designed specifically for teen girls to worship and learn about God in an environment specifically tailored to their needs and desires. The Revolve Tour uses “music, drama, personal stories, videos and other creative avenues to address issues relevant to teenage girls today, including relationships with friends and family, body image and self esteem, relationships with guys, and faith in God.”
